Today was spent exploring museums with Kellie and Laura, we went to Asian Civilization Museum followed by National Singapore Museum. SAM was supposed to be our last stop and NSM was actually our on-the-way stop but was stayed a little long there so we skipped the last one. I love museums. I'm really amused by how whoever is in-charge manages to find so many different exhibition sets and get them into the museum on a monthly basis. Didn't take much photos in ACM but there were really a lot of interesting pieces and they all look really nice in their glass cases. This was one of my favourites because it was so funny how it came about. Apparently Europeans like to send images of their coat of arms to the people in China to get them onto porcelains and one of the paintings got wet and the colour smudged and the craftsman misinterpreted it as the design and put it on the porcelain. Or he was just trying to be guailan.

We went to the kids corner and started making the royal crowns out of paper with the template they provided and started taking a lot of selfies. There's a nicer photo of us in better quality but it wasn't taken with my phone so I'll probably put it up later when I get it from Kellie. The lighting was so bad I had a really hard time trying to edit this photo ):

The following photos were taken at NSM! There was this exhibition which was really nice with a lot of really nice paintings by local artists. I didn't take any photos of them though.

Some really interesting art installations. Click to read if you're interested.

The photography gallery was quite disappointing though, I thought there would be more showcases of vintage cameras but there were very little of them and they didn't have as elaborate an explanation as I hoped. This photo was taken in black and white and then hand-coloured in by the developer. Hipster much with the colour splash.
 Neoprint version 1.0!!!
"Nobody here says 'last winter' or 'next spring'. There are no such seasons. Every day, the year round, is like New York in a heat wave; people estivate the year round, but are healthy."
-Frederick Simpich, National Geographic, July 1940

I don't know what to think about this because it is true but why are we being compared to reptiles and insects hahaha.
